4/21 update on Bex:

Today was a better day! We are still in the PICU. Labs all remained pretty stable. They were able to go down on some meds. She was more talkative today, and we played in bed all day. This evening, she asked if she could try to walk, and since we haven’t been cleared to do so and she has so many lines and IVs all over, we decided to go for a wheelchair ride around the unit a couple of times. Tonight is the first time she has asked for water or food, and sadly, she is not allowed to have that yet. I’m praying for tomorrow to be an even better day!

Jay has been home with Selah this weekend and was able to take her to her soccer tournament. I watched on video chat when I could. I miss them both terribly, and I hate having our family split like this. We will make it work the best we can.

One thing I know is God is so good and hears our prayers. Please continue to pray for Bexley and our family. We love you all.
