Well, a bit of time has passed from the time I wrote our story to our very first blog post. We have been a bit busy. Elijah was approved for a transplant on April 24th. We were then instructed to schedule Eli for 4 vaccinations. This will give Elijah a leg up for a transplant. Then on May 25th, Elijah was officially listed on the UNOS list. Elijah has thankfully been pretty stable during this past month. for which we are extremely grateful. The amazing team at Duke keeps a dutiful and watchful eye on Elijah’s condition. As of right now, he is scheduled to go back on June 8th for a normal follow-up per listing guidelines. A couple of family members are also going to be tested as well to see if live donation is an option for Eli.
