Update 2/10/20

I know we have a lot of people wondering how Hayden is doing.  I apologize for not updating sooner.  We have been traveling back and forth to KC on Monday Wednesday and Friday so Hayden can get Hemo dialysis.

Hayden has good days and bad days as we struggle with blood pressures and getting his body acclimated to Hemo dialysis.  Hayden passed out last Monday in the dialysis clinic due to low blood pressures.  Since then we have been watching him closely when he is getting dialysis.

Steve and I have made the decision to do the 6 week training at CMH so we can administer Hemo Dialysis to Hayden at home.  We will start this training on the 17th of February. We are hoping once we get trained Hayden can get back to a sense of normalcy.

We could use prayers for training as well as the viruses that are still in Hayden’s body.  We now have elevated DSA’s (donor specific antibodies) that will postpone the transplant.  We need the DSA’s to calm down and not be elevated for Hayden to get a transplant.  The elevated DSA’s may require a treatment plan but Hayden has had major side effects in the past with the treatment they need to use.  So the doctor is still trying to figure out what the right plan for Hayden is.

Thank you to all the people that are praying, sending texts, emails and cards.  We are blessed to have friends and family that care about us.  We hope to repay the generosity that is being shown to us someday soon.

  1. We’re praying for Hayden to tolerate the dialysis and for you and Steve as you take the training.

  2. Thank you for the update. Praying for Haydens healing, wisdom for Doctors on his treatment and for you and Steve as you receive the training. Praying in Christ … be your strength and peace and healer through it all.

  3. I am so sorry to hear that you have new challenges to face. Please know that you are all in our prayers. May God keep watching over your family.
