Lincoln was extubated today!! After surgery they left the breathing tube in out of concerns for high pressures in his abdomen and to let him rest after such a long surgery. This morning there were concerns about edema in his lungs, but after a little added sedation and a good xray, they ruled that out and they took out the tube! He is so much happier, but still very sleepy. His color is already starting to go back to normal but won’t be completely normal for at least a month. We’re letting little man rest, but when he’s ready we’ll be ready to start playing with him!

Lincoln’s donor is also doing very well and should be getting out of the ICU soon! We can’t wait for them to spend more time together ❤️
