After what felt like forever, we are finally going home! In the past week, Lincoln has gotten his gotten his arterial line, abdominal drain, and central line taken out. He’s been breastfeeding and playing like his normal self. His labs look great and his immunosuppression levels are within range. Honestly.. everything is looking good.
We will have to get labs every week for awhile, and Lincoln will be super immunosupressed for at least another month and a half. After the first year of transplant he should really only be taking one medication twice a day. Compared to his 12 daily with some twice a day, that’s a big win! His belly is smaller and nice and soft and his color looks so amazing.
As for his wrist, we will meet back with ortho next week to see if anything else needs to be done to help Lincoln’s development.
