Fundraising Success but New Challenges Emerge

On November 16 we held a fundraising garage sale of 100% donated items from the community. We also had cookies and donuts donated by Bashas which we sold by donation. All in all we raised close to $2000 for COTA in honor of Mesa to help with transplant related expenses!   Thank you to everyone in the community that supported us and also to our relatives that helped us run this huge garage sale!

I would also like to share an update on Mesa; she continues to have difficulty with nausea and vomiting so she is losing weight regularly and is down to 98 pounds now. The graft versus host disease blood test was inconclusive so she will be having a  gastrointestinal biopsy to truly determine if it is graft versus host disease or something else. We are praying that it is not graft versus host disease because if it is she cannot have any more donor infusions because it would put her at too much risk for complications.
