Hi, it’s been a while since we have posted an update so there is a lot to tell!  The Combs High School student council members raised about $800 through the 5k run and student donations. A big thank you to them for helping COTA assist with transplant-related expenses, such as Mesa’s new round of medical bills!  

 

In more exciting news, Mesa and her family were able to complete her Make-a-Wish trip to Oahu, HI. Mesa and her family got to tour Pearl Harbor as well as the USS Bowfin submarine and the USS Missouri battleship. They also went on an island tour and saw many awesome sites including swimming on the North Shore. It was a very difficult hike, but Mesa made it to the top of Diamond Head!  This was a huge accomplishment since her endurance had not been built up yet!  Mesa’s favorite part was dinner at Alauni where she got to meet her favorite Disney character Stitch.
