After 286 days on the transplant list, at 3:48 p.m. yesterday, our family got the call we have been waiting and praying for. We are so incredibly grateful to everyone who has prayed for our girl and our family and carried us through this long wait.
Please continue to pray for our girl and all of the incredible staff caring for her as she undergoes her transplant tonight.
Please pray for the donor family who has given our girl the gift of life in the hardest season of their life. We are forever grateful for their family and the incredible gift they have given ours.
Please pray for her brother, who turns 2 tomorrow and won’t be able to see his sister for a while.
And please pray for the Lord to give Josh and me“ peace and strength as we watch them wheel our girl away to the operating room.
For today, we will be soaking up every bit of family time we can before surgery. We will update here as soon as we are able.
Thank you will never feel like enough for the love, prayers, and support you have given our family through these 295 days. Please keep our girl in your prayers tonight.
Heavenly Father, we come to you today to lift up your precious child facing a heart transplant. Wrap Sofia, her family and the family who gave the gift of life to others, in your loving arms. Guide the hands of the surgical team and grant peace, strength, and healing to this little one and their family. We pray that you will give Sofia the strength that she will need for this fight ahead of her. Surround her family and the donor family with love and support and give them deep comfort, patience, and unwavering hope.
