Jeffrey saw the transplant team today and he has another infection???? This surprisingly is not uncommon post transplant. They told us to prepare for a year of ????. They weren’t kidding!! His fever has broke so they are going to wait to treat it until after they get the culture back tomorrow. Again asking for prayers???? He is allergic to so many antibiotics, the ones he can have are so strong they have to be administered IV, and they are horrible for his kidney. Sooo… we talked it over and they want to “try” an antibiotic he had a mild reaction to when he was a baby, and see if maybe its not a true allergy? This would be great for him if he’s not allergic. Not so good if he is???? They are sending us to see a specialist next week for more tests, and to discuss further options. **Update. Jeff woke up this morning feeling amazing! Stomach pain was gone. No fever. Results arent back yet, but doctor called and said if hes not asymptomatic they will wait and see how he does the next couple days. I honestly believe prayers have been answered…once again! THANK YOU????????????
