Jeffrey was seen  in the ER yesterday and diagnosed with Shingles!! I cant even believe this. This is something old people get!!  But apparently this is something common in transplant patients because of their lowered immune system. Im starting to wonder what else they havent told us and that we are going to be surprised by?

He is absolutely miserable today!

We caught it fast enough that they are able to treat him with an anti-viral medication and some pain meds that target nerve pain. We are praying hard that this wipes it out in a few days. He missed 4 days of school last week because he wasnt feeling good. Doubt he will be up going this week. He really needs a break from all this.
