Annika remains in the hospital. Since my last update, she developed a right lower lung pneumonia and has also required oxygen (first time since transplant). She has been being treated with IV antibiotics, tamiflu, oxygen, saline breathing treatments, a decrease in her immune suppression drugs, and IV fluids. I am happy to report this afternoon she is looking significantly better. She has been off of oxygen and even FaceTimed her “ya-ya” (Amelia). She remains very tired and has a horrible cough. Fevers are gone. Today was also the first day that she tolerated any sort of formula in her stomach. We pray for complete healing. It has been a very scary few days.
