Good morning, man did we have fun last night at Pitt Volleyball’s Daniel Strong game!!

Now we’re just checking in with the best update we have had over the last 6 months of the Daniel George campaign: We Found Our Match!

Molly Trott, a co-worker of Mary Beth’s in the athletic department at Pitt underwent testing in late October and we recently received word that she is in fact a match – There are no words to express our gratitude to her, or to all of you for your support!  Surgery for Daniel and Molly is tentatively scheduled for Dec. 7, 2021, their final check in with the transplant team is on Nov 24^th to ensure they will both be good to go! We are also super excited to announce that we received a $5,000 matching grant from The Children’s Organ Transplant Association for our fundraising efforts in the first six months of fundraising – something we know we could not have done without all of you!

Last update is that we do have a couple of fundraising opportunities coming up this month in Oakland which require very little effort on your part – Panera Bread which goes on all day on Nov. 17^th and Chipotle from 4-8 pm on Nov. 21^st.  Both restaurants will honor catering or online orders, feel free to reach out to Kate McCartney with any questions – other than that just enjoy an excuse to eat out before the Thanksgiving holiday!
