Great news! Emily has been moved out of the ICU and into a standard room. She is doing quite well; although she will need many months of recovery. This blog will continue to report on her progress for you. Thanks to all for yourwell wishes for her. 

Team Emily’s 2 nd fundraiser was held last Tuesday at the Outback Steakhouse in West Ocean City, MD. It lasted five hours, from 4-9 PM. Our team setup all the activities including; a Chinese Auction, 50/50 drawing, $10 Mystery Boxes, and delicious cupcakes specially baked by Deserts by Rita, (one cupcake buyer won a $100 gift certificate to a local jeweler). We even sold “Duck Race” entries! Outback Steakhouse generously donated a percentage of that evening’s sales to COTA for Emily’s Lungs.Everyone enjoyed the food and games, raising a significant amount of money that night and we have been invited to come back next year to do it all over again.

 Our next event will be held on Tuesday, June 13 th. from 6-10 PM at BUXY’S SALTY DOG, 28 th. Street at Coastal Highway, Ocean City, MD. There will be live a Jam Session, air guitar contest, great food, happy hour drink prices and all the games that Team Emily is famous for, Remember, all proceeds benefit: COTA, (Childrens Organ Transplant Association), in honor of Emily Sachs,double lung transplant survivor. June 13 th. 6-10 PM.
