Buxy’s Salty Dog restaurant in Ocean City, MD hosted our June fundraiser for Emily Heiner, on Tuesday, June 13 th.  Buxy provided an excellent buffet of pulled pork, salads, rolls and desert. He allowed Team Emily to rearrange as many tables as needed for us to place our prizes. A local musical group provided music throughout the evening. Drinks were happy hour priced.

 

Team Emily spread an array of desirable items on Chinese and Silent auctions, our famous $10 Mystery Boxes, along with a 50/50 drawing and a Duck Race, (to be held July

 2nd at 6 PM at Frontier Town, Ocean City, MD/  All the money raised from the Duck Race will also go to COTAforEmilyslungs.com,

 

Virtually everyone who attended won something nice.

Buxy was so generous with Team Emily, that we felt like honored guests. The July fundraiser will be at the American Legion Hall in Whiteford, MD. Everyone is invited to join in and help Emily raise the funds needed to pay for years of expensive medications to make certain that her body does not reject her transplanted lungs. The team has received an unprecedented level of support from donors in the Ocean City area. We thank them all for their support.

 

And we thank Buxy himself for making us feel welcome and part of the Buxy family for that night. If you are going to Ocean City this summer or fall; stop in at Buxy’s for a cold draft, good food and pleasant conversation. You won’t be disappointed, believe me.
