One thing this journey has taught me is to truly live in every small victory and every little moment.
Today, we went outside and soaked up the beautiful weather. We danced, sang along to music, had KFC for lunch outside, and simply enjoyed being together. Those moments may seem ordinary, but they don’t feel ordinary anymore.
Lately, the pediatric cardiac floor has been especially heavy emotionally for both the families living here and the incredible staff caring for our children. If you think of them, they could really use your prayers.
Some days are incredibly hard, and they remind us to hold these joyful moments a little tighter because we know how quickly things can change.
If there’s one thing I hope people take away from following our family’s journey, it’s this: Slow down. Put your phone away. Hug your kids a little longer. Laugh a little louder. Enjoy the ordinary moments, because they truly are the most precious ones.
