Day 6 post Transplant

Transplant Day 6…
So far So GOOD! With the exception of some “inconveniences” she’s doing lovely. She had her 1st scope yesterday morning and her new intestines are beauties! They also seem to be happy with their new home and are showing NO signs of rejection.
Here are the “inconveniences” …
Dr’s wanted to start feeds through the NJ tube but it was not placed in the appropriate spot so that was pulled (Hooray! I can see my baby’s full face) and we are going to try feeds through her Gtube later today (2mls over an hour) and see how she tolerates it since she only has half a stomach.
Her pancreatitis is improving so that’s a PLUS but her Liver is not so happy. She had an ultrasound today (results pending) to make sure this is just a part of surgery and nothing else. I’ll update when I know more.
In the meantime, she looks great clinically and has even taken a couple of strolls in the halls????????????
Finally, I got the OK from Victoria to share publically pictues of her organs. They are graphic so I’ll post in comments. After seeing her organs, my heart hurt just a little more to finally SEE what my baby felt and I rejoiced even more knowing she has been blessed with her angel.
