Sissy and Grandma arrived safe and sound!! Feels so good to be all together again.

 Yesterday we attempted to decrease some of her pain meds in hopes of getting out of the hospital today but her body just isn’t quite ready. Overall her appetite continues to improve slowly. As her belly wakes up the pain will get better but it’s just taking some time for that to happen. Other than pain/nasuea, Emmy is surpassing all other expectations. Her labs all look great. She’s moving well when she’s not in pain. Her blood sugars have been doing well. Super proud of her. Jarret and I finished up our diabetes education this week. Last thing left is to place her home pump once we are ready to discharge. Yesterday, she got to add her finger print to the TPIAT hot air balloon. She opted to place hers right next to Avery’s blue fingerprint from 3 years ago! 

. This morning, the Savanah Banana’s visited the hospital and the girls got to go down to see them. Em’s wasn’t feeling great so she went back to the room before pictures but Avery got to meet them! The next few days will likely just be resting and recharging. We will send an update if there’s something worth sharing. Thank you for all the love and support so far. We are anxious to get out of the hospital and over to Ronnie’s House.
