Recovery Continues; 2 Ways to Show Support – 3/19/21

John and Patty are both continuing to recover well. Patty will likely be discharged today into our friend Jenn’s care at the rented house near the hospital. John has been moved out of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, and his new kidney seems to be working well. The medical team will do more tests today and continue to monitor him. John still has a few more days in the hospital.

If you’d like to do something special for John, the Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital gift shop has volunteers who help with phone orders and picking out gifts, and then deliver items directly to patient rooms. Make sure you let them know it is for John Kloft.

Shop hours: Monday-Friday 9am-4pm (This Friday, 3/19/21, and next Monday, 3/22/21, are a safe bet; after that we’re not sure when John will be discharged). v

“Please call us at (650) 497-8596 during shop hours. Our volunteers will be happy to help you find the perfect gift. We offer same-day, free delivery to any room at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford in Palo Alto.”

If you’re in the Mt. Angel area this Sunday, The Mt. Angel Knights of Columbus drive-up style breakfast burrito fundraiser will support the Children’s Organ Transplant Association in honor of kids like John. We’re so blessed and proud to have our Mt. Angel community rally around us. The breakfast burritos will feature Lonely Lane Farms sausage. ????
