Happy New Year! Three weeks ago at this time Robert and I were waiting just two hours into Keagan’s double lung transplant surgery! 2018 blessed us with the most incredible gift the gift of life. The most selfless gift we could ever receive. How do you ever repay for the extra time and quality of life that we get to have with Keagan! The chance for Keagan to be able to run free of tubes, not have to rely on electricity, constantly have our minds thinking about the what ifs and packing and loading supplies just to leave the house to run an errand or to just go for a walk down the street. Keagan’s donor and family are constantly on our mind as their experiences will be so different than ours and so difficult this year and the years to come. We will continue to pray for them daily for peace and comfort and hope to be able to meet them some day when they are ready to thank them for choosing life for their child and Keagan. We celebrated tonight in the hospital. Donate Life!
