6 month post double lung transplant

We made it to Houston for Keagan’s 6 month post double lung transplant appointments! Keagan flew commercially for the first time as he could only fly by Medical flights previous to transplant! He did awesome and it was a short ride!! Monday we started out the day with labs, chest x-ray, chest ct scan, transplant clinic, more labs, and pass clinic for our bronch today. He is currently waiting to go in for his bronch as well as have another ph impedience probe placed in his nose for 24 hours. We should know results from at least the bronch by the end of the week so will update then. Please say some prayers for him as well as the donors family as today marks 6 month from the time he came out of surgery! We continue to be so grateful for the amazing little angel that gave him this chance at life and for their family for saying yes to organ donation! He continues to surprise us every day with the new things he can do that he has never done in the past 7 years as well as keep us on our toes. He is now able to reach and unlock all of the doors in the house to go outside!  He loves playing outside riding his new bike and swinging on the swing! He also does not care to come inside when it’s time to come in! So he is finally able to just be a kid! Well with some restrictions still, but we will take those! Due to some of the medications he does have to limit outside time and cover up and put on sunscreen more frequently. All in all he is doing great and is happy to be home with family and friends!! We will forever. Enfrateful for the little angel and their family that has given Keagan the gift of life which has allowed Keagan to be a kid!! Thanks for all of the prayers and support our family has received during this journey!!
