Good morning!  We are working hard to raise funds for COTA to help little Alex.  Alex is a delighful little boy with a heartbreaking smile who captures the heart of friends and strangers alike.  Unfortunately, life has thrown some big challenges at ten-month-old Alex already.  Alex needs a new liver.  Alex was born with biliary atresia, a disease that causes scarring or occlusion of the bile ducts causing the liver to not do its job.  While we all wait for an organ to become available, we are working hard to raise money to help.  

While we wait, Alex and his family are fighting to keep Alex home and safe during flu season.  (Wash your hands!  Don’t kiss babies!  Get a flu shot!)  Alex loves his big brother, Diego, his mom, dad, and extended family, and his pets.  He is learning to walk, slowly, and seems to love hot, spicy food.
