It’s been a big week for Rafe! His doctors office called and said that his labs look great and switched his biweekly labs to monthly. Since they were switched to monthly, he got his PICC line removed!!! It was a bittersweet moment for him. He has had the line in since December 10th so removing it made him very anxious. It’s been a few days since the line has been out and he is doing much better. Tomorrow his home health nurse will come check the spot on his arm and discharge him from their care. Rafe’s home health nurse has been a VERY important part of his journey and we will miss getting to see her every week! We are so thankful for her patience, kindness, and compassion. She made our transition home so much easier.
